In my work and personal life, I have developed friendships with people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and faiths. I have also enjoyed the privilege of walking alongside clients of many different backgrounds as well. I take the approach of a learner in discovering the culture and story of each individual. Be it disability, gender, relationship status, immigration status, age difference, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, faith, ethnicity, nationality, education level, traumatic experience, mental illness, military/veteran background, I welcome you to my practice.
I am open to working with people of faith and to working with people from all backgrounds. At the heart of my work is my faith in God and his power and grace to heal us and transform us into the people He desires us to be. Where a client wishes to explore questions of faith related to the difficulties that they are experiencing, I integrate my experiences and faith into our work together. Where a client wishes to leave out discussions of faith, I find other ways to support them in their healing work.
